The Kiai-Kick Podcast is here! So what’s up, Hollywood?!
My inaugural episode in which I look at the future of Hollywood in martial art cinema, and some comments about Wellgo USA and Dragon Dynasty! Click the player below! I hope you enjoy it! Let me know in the comments!
I just wanted to let you know that I listened the podcast. I normally hate podcasts but as much as I love martial arts movies I have a really hard time keeping up so I appreciate your perspective and keeping me up to date. I had been wondering what was happening with Dragon Dynasty. I would hope that Wellgo USA could get the rights to release some of those classic Shaw Brothers movies. I have not seen a TON of them and it would be nice to be able to watch them in high quality DVD or Blu-ray finally.
Good call on the next martial arts star coming from MMA too. I can definitely see that. Many of these guys and gals have a lot of personality that they are putting out there on the mics after each fight. I would think that it could transfer to personality on screen. And, like you said, they don’t necessarily need to be a good actor, just a strong screen presence.
Keep up the solid work. I look forward to your next one!
