Dracula returns…along with Cynthia Rothrock, Bolo Yeung and Matthias Hues!
You may remember the article I posted about the upcoming film Trigger Reaction a month or two ago, starring Cynthia Rothrock, Richard Norton, Bolo Yeung and Matthias Hues. Well, that film seems to have fallen through, but wait! Andrew Fanelli, one of the former stars of Trigger Reaction, has been working on a film of his own: Dracula 2013: Breed of Darkness! Here’s the synopsis:
Pieces of a Nazi World War II submarine are recovered off the coast of Eastern Europe by a group of Marine Archeologist. Inside the sunken sub, a secret compartment is discovered that contains the presence of an ancient evil that was once part of a plot so sinister that it could only be conceived by an occult fallen empire on the verge of defeat. A wealthy German war veteran has taken a personal interest in the package that lies within the sub and hires a group of rogue mercenaries, the best money can buy to retrieve a coffin and the remains of the most diabolical leader in the history of mankind to conduct a genetic DNA mutation to bring forth a plan that was to take place seven decades ago, a failed mission that would have changed the course of history then……and NOW!
So we have Nazis, vampires, and genetic engineering? Add to that Dracula and martial arts mayhem? Okay, I’ll bite (pun intended). Many of the stars from Trigger Reaction have jumped ship to this film, and Andrew Fanelli is adding more each day, and there’s even an A-lister that may come in. I’ll be following this film as production gets underway, and below is a concept poster (yes, considering that Matthias Hues is photoshopped onto a picture of Ezio Auditore from the Assassin’s Creed games, so don’t flip out, Assassin’s Creed fans) of the project but a new poster is coming soon.
You can check out Master Andrew Fanelli’s All-Pro Tae Kwon Do Studio in Los Gatos, CA here, and I’ll let you guys know what’s going on with the film as it goes along! It will be great to see Bolo and Cynthia in a film together!

My friend talked to one of the producers of the Trigger Reaction couple of days ago and he was very enthusiastic about the movie, no talk of it falling through at all,

The film started with a bunch of action stars, but many of them have dropped off, which I found out from one of the stars who did. Hopefully I’m wrong and they are able to continue on, but it just doesn’t seem likely, but as with all things we shall see!

I saw a post of Cynthia Rothrock and De Leon as stars yesterday on TR official facebook page. We’ll have to wait and see. Anyway, more than anything I would really love to see Bolo Yeung in a new movie after all this time -so I’ll be happy if just one of these movies gets made.
